You’ll note that we didn’t recommend specific Restaurants. San Diego is home to so many fabulous eateries that it would take weeks to enjoy them all. Instead of only listing a few suggestions, we will point you to our San Diego Dining Guide where you can read about some of the top choices in the city.

Day 1

Start your visit to San Diego off with a splash by enjoying one of the most popular San Diego Activities. Spend a few hours exploring the park, enjoying the live shows, and learning more about the beautiful creatures that live at the Park.

The Beach

After SeaWorld, head to Mission Beach and stick your toes in the sand while listening to the sound of waves and taking in the beautiful scenery. Mission Beach also boasts carnival-style rides, food stands, and full-service Restaurants.

Day 2

Whale Watching Tour

While SeaWorld is a lot of fun, there is nothing like seeing majestic whales in the natural environment. Several tour companies offer the chance to see some of the 26,000 gray whales that pass by the coast each year.

Torrey Pines State Reserve

With 8 miles of trails in varying degrees of difficulty, Torrey Pines State Reserve is a perfect place to enjoy a leisurely hike. No matter which trail you choose, the reward will be spectacular views of the ocean or the Torrey Pines golf course.

Day 3

Take a short ferry ride to Coronado, and visit the USS Midway and Star of India. These ships are now museums, and these Attractions appeal to visitors of all ages.

Seaport Village

Spend a few hours exploring the quaint shops and dining spots at Seaport Village. You can also ride the carousel or enjoy other activities.

Even if you had weeks you wouldn’t be able to visit all of the wonderful Attractions located near downtown San Diego. The above itinerary is just an example of how you could spend your time during a visit.
