The San Diego County Fair is a month-long San Diego Event that is popular with both locals and visitors. It has the nostalgic feel of a traditional county fair along with modern touches such as the latest exciting rides.
Contests
Just like any good county fair, this San Diego Event hosts dozens of contests and competitive exhibits. You’ll see participants seeking to be named the best in all sorts of categories including livestock, photography, wood design and flowers. You can also watch fun contests such as Battle of the Bands and Southern California’s Best Dance Crew.
Concerts and Live Performances
Live shows are another highlight of this San Diego Thing to Do. No matter what night you visit, you are sure to find some great live entertainment. Friday Night Funnies feature hilarious comedians and other comedy acts.
Concerts for the San Diego County Fair include a gospel festival, Beatles cover bands and well-known performers including Toni Braxton and Third Eye Blind.
Other live shows include a charity horse show, antique car races, a demolition derby, and Tuff trucks.

Food
